This 2024 wall calendar is an isometric exploration of a 15th century manuscript, the Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry, commissioned by the Duke of Berry and primarily attributed to the Herman, Paul, and Jean Limbourg. The Très Riches Heures contains (in addition to various prayers and biblical narratives) a cycle of twelve Labors Of The Months, with all manner of peasants and merchants and nobles doing interesting things around the French countryside.
This 2024 version reworks and updates this source material with all-new illustrations, featuring hundreds of scale people, trees, and furnishings engaged in all manner of activities. A transparent white overlay shows the days of the week and leaves plenty of room to add in notes about meetings, holidays, and important events.
In addition to the 12 months, the cover of the calendar is a cheeky rework of the "Anatomical Zodiac" page from the 15th century Très Riches Heures.
